Mme de Fontenay has spoken. In an interview with AFP, she said, "France has a chance this year. I'm very confident. Chloe Mortaud is exceptional and her American roots could play a role."
The French press calls Chloe "franco-américaine," as Chloe's mother was born in the USA (in the state of Mississippi). Toute la France can watch "Miss Univers" on Paris-Première on August 24, at 3:00am Paris time. France will also be represented at "Miss Univers 2009" by musical guest/DJ David Guetta.
