Miss Malaysia Universe 2009 beauty pageant will be held 30 May in The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur. New beauty queen will be complete in 2009 Miss Universe pageant.

Miss Universe 2009 , the 58th Beauty Universe Pageant, will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Dayana Mendoza , from Venezuela, winner of Miss Universe 2008 , will crown her successor in the event.

Full time model, Cassandra Athene Patrick, 23, enjoys sports, singing and reading in her free time.

She strongly believes that beauty is only skin deep and can only take one so far.

“There is more to being a Malaysian than we care to give ourselves credit for,” says the feisty lady. “We don’t have to look very far for good role models as Malaysia has plenty of great personalities whom we can all look up to.”

Cassandra hopes to start her own business one day to show the younger generation that nothing is impossible once you set your mind to it.

She also intends to use the pageant as a platform to help the less fortunate and highlight the importance of a good education which she cares greatly about.
