Miss Provence Barbara Morel is the first Miss Nationale. She won the title tonight at the Salle Wagram in Paris, during a gala event. The self-styled doyenne of decorum, 78-year-old Genevieve de Fontenay, set up Miss Nationale in a moral crusade against current Miss France owners, a reality TV company, which Mme de Fontenay accuses of cheapening the contest.
