The new Miss Great Britain 2010 is Liverpool native Amy Carrier, 20. She won the crown on Saturday night, besting over 50 other competitors. The law student said, "I am so overwhelmed and feel so honored to be given this prestigious title. I will do my best to be a good ambassador for Great Britain." Miss Central London Lisa Lazarus, 23, was named first runner-up, and Miss Birmingham City Gina Basham, 22, was named second runner-up. The glittering event took place in the seaside resort of Weston Super-Mare in front of a packed and cheering audience, at the newly re-opened Grand Pier.
