The new Miss Nicaragua 2009 is Indiana Sánchez. First runner-up was Slilma Ulloa; second runner-up was Maritza Rivas. Indiana was crowned just after midnight, at a glittering pageant held in the Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío in Managua.
Here is Indiana competing in a preliminary contest for "Miss Model," along with fellow contestants Iris Ordeñana y Maritza Rivas. Iris won the "Miss Model" title at the pageant, while Indiana won "Miss Photogenic."
