Miss Universe Zambia 2009 Winner Announced

The Miss Universe Zambia 2009 pageant has concluded with this year’s court of winners announced.

The pageant was conducted over a 6 week period and was decided on a combination of weekly Internet voting and a panel of judges.

Zambians both at home and in the Diaspora were for the first time ever able to cast their votes via text messaging and Online to pick this year’s queens.

The Pageant was concluded on 31st May 2009 and Andella Chileshe Matthews, a 21-year-old model and sports fitness student from Ndola, emerged as Miss Universe Zambia 2009, earning the right to represent Zambia as the 2009 delegate to the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant on the Paradise Island of The Bahamas.

The rest of the winners will also have the opportunity to represent Zambia in other International Contests to be announced later.
