Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler, 23, is the new Miss America 2012. She won the title just hours ago during a gala, glittering, nationally-televised ceremony at the Planet Hollywood & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Miss America 2012 first runner-up is Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson, and Miss America 2012 second runner-up is Miss New York Kaitlyn Monte. Rounding out the top five were Miss Arizona Jennifer Sedler and Miss California Noelle Freeman.
